This colour combination sparks so much joy. The colours are vibrant and lively - like when sunshine bursts through on a cloudy day, brightening our day. The explosion of pattern, colour and shine from the resin is magical.
The process used to paint the artwork is unique, relying on non-traditional methods such as wind, fire and gravity. It's a resin painting; the resin was tinted using proprietary pigments and custom acrylics. These mediums lend a gentle quality to the painting.
We are often asked whether or not resin is archival, will it yellow in the sun, will it still look lovely for my children, etc. We use a specially designed art resin that has archival, UV resistant, and non-yellowing properties. Though more expensive than other epoxy products, we use this type of resin for our functional art too. Art that features a lot of titanium white could be a challenge - this piece has very little (titanium dioxide can react with even art resins). The painting will last a long time, and it's very easy to maintain (none of the issues you could experience with oil paints). You need only run a duster over it from time-to-time, or give it a spritz of window cleaner with a soft cloth.
This original artwork is a one-of-a-kind, unique piece. It's impossible to recreate any of our paintings given the mediums and techniques that are used. We don't sell prints. All of our pieces are shipped or delivered signed, ready-to-hang, with a certificate of authenticity provided.
Resin is very hard to photograph given the glossy magnificence that's created by its reflective, glossy surface. No photograph could do this painting justice. The details and blending of colour is really special. We would love you to see it on display!
