Commissioning is a special way to create art that is made just for you!

If you are interested in commissioning a special piece of original OR functional art (we do furniture, boxes, trays and one-of-a-kind coasters), please contact us via email. We work with a range of colors, substrates and sizes. We can also provide framing at a reasonable cost.

How does the process work? Once you express an interest in a commission, I will setup a meeting or a Zoom call so that we can view your space, measure the space, look at the light in the room, other artwork that may be in the space, and talk about a potential colour palette. This meeting gives me a good understanding of your wishes. In the days of COVID, you may wish to send along photos too. After we meet, I draw up a document which outlines your/my understanding of the commission, the quoted price and an estimated timeline. Things take a little longer during COVID as the acquisition of materials takes longer (supply chains are affected, carpenters work differently, manufacturers are slowed down, etc.). Once the deposit is provided, I get started!

Speaking of deposits, I ask for 30% of the quoted price for commissions. This helps to cover the cost of materials required to complete your piece. But, I also have a "No Risk" commission process. If you don't love the painting, we will modify it as much as possible, or find something else for you.

In the Greater Toronto Area, we provide a FREE delivery and installation service, on all paintings 24X24" or larger, included in the cost of the painting. During the pandemic though, we deliver at a mutually agreed upon time, put on our masks, leave the carefully wrapped painting outside your home, ring your bell, and step back! I ask clients to give me a call if they would like to talk further about the piece.

We will deliver and install artworks within the Southern Ontario region too. Depending on the distance, there may be a small surcharge.

We also offer safe, secure, curbside pickup on all artworks. My studio is located in west-end Toronto.

Please touch base if you have any questions at all.
